Surface Acoustic Wave Filters, Second Edition: With Applications to Electronic Communications and Signal Processing (Studies in Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

This book gives the fundamental principles and device design techniques for surface acoustic wave filters. It covers the devices in widespread use today: bandpass and pulse compression filters, correlators and non-linear convolvers and resonators. The newest technologies for low bandpass filters are fully covered such as unidirectional transducers, resonators in impedance element filters, resonators in double-mode surface acoustic wave filters and transverse-coupled resonators using waveguides.

The book covers the theory of acoustic wave physics, the piezoelectric effect, electrostatics at a surface, effective permittivity, piezoelectric SAW excitation and reception, and the SAW element factor. These are the main requirements for developing quasi-static theory, which gives a basis for the non-reflective transducers in transversal bandpass filters and interdigital pulse compression filters. It is also needed for the reflective transducers used in the newer devices.

My daughter Afsha had clicked the same bike some months back and from the day I saw her clicked photograph, I wanted to shoot the same but unfortunately 'Canon Lounge' went in for renovation and I couldn't. Got the chance recently to shoot this .. when she saw the photogaph on flickr which I kept on 'private' she said this to me ...

The motarcycle is awesome looking and I wanted to make it look more attractive .. so poured all my knowledge of PS into making this ..
Made with 4 layers of the same photograph.
Lighting is PS based.
Culmination of Tonemapping, HDR, lots of dodge, burn and filters.
I burned my eyes to lit this in PS would be an understatement.

The only thing I hate in this picture and which i tried tried and tried removing but couldn't is the 'sunmica door' between the brick walls.
It still looks awful.
Regular visitors at Canon would notice that I have removed the light pole and also the door handles on the sunmica laden door.

Canon, the camera company 'custom built' this one for their visual lounge displays in Bangalore and Mumbai. The company "Verdanchi" exceeded their own standards of design quality and finish with this build in a week's time.
Some of the cool features were the cutting edge design for the twin headlamp, the streamlined side panels, themed foot and hand controls and the matched fenders. The most striking feature of this custom though was the paint job. Done by the founder of art and design studio "Aum Chakra".

She is parked at the Canon Lounge at Atria Mall, Worli - Mumbai.
The best part is she rides as awesome as she looks.

The RoadStar is, in my opinion, the most beautiful, most well built cruiser on the market. It has such fine attention to detail, and the quality and craftsmanship of these bikes, even stock, is marvelous. On this friday, Kenny and I went to the StarDays event which was held at the old Chattanooga Train Station, which has been refurbished into a very important hotel named after the Chattanooga Choo Choo song of the early 1900's. We saw all kinds of license plates from within the United States and from Canada. I hope that in the future, my countrymen from down south of the border form their own chapter and I can join them here in the states. Hopefully Yamaha will take notice of this and will promote StarDays for Yamaha Star customers in Mexico.

In essence, this show was a great opportunity to see bikes such as these, and take beautiful shots of beautiful engines.
